Top Vietnamese models performed on the catwalk of the “White Serenade” fashion show in HCM City on April 3.
“White Serenade” is the latest collection by Son Collection brand. The show had the participation of the top models in Vietnam like Vu Thu Phuong, Miss Fashion of Miss Earth 2007 Truong Tri Truc Diem, Ngoc Thach, Trang Nhung, etc.

Largest fashion show to come in May

Well known director, Pham Hoang Nam, will be the director of the fifth Long-legged Festival this May, which will attract top models of Vietnam.

Pham Hoang Nam was the director of the most famous events in Vietnam, like Miss Vietnam World pageant, diva Hong Nhung’s, “Nhu canh vac bay” live show, etc.

“The name, Pham Hoang Nam, is attached with many highly appreciated shows in Vietnam. He has great talent in using light. I believe that the annual “Long-legged Festival” will be different and at a higher level with the participation of Pham Hoang Nam,” said the representative of the organizing board, director of Venus Modeling Company Vu Khac Tiep.

Tiep says that the funding for this show will be much higher than previous years, in order to make its quality up to international standards.

Forty Vietnamese and international models from the UK, South Korea and Singapore will perform the latest collections of international famous brands and collections by Vietnamese American designer, Cory.

Over 250 celebrities, including beauty queens, movie stars, top singers and models like Giang My, Diem My, Truong Ngoc Anh, Nguyen Thi Huyen, Dieu Hoa, Bao Ngoc, Ha Kieu Anh, Mai Phuong Thuy, Vu Cam Nhung, Thuy Dung, Ngoc Han, Thanh Hang, Vu Thu Phuong, Huong Giang, Hoang Yen, Lan Huong, etc. will join the show.

Ho Ngoc Ha will be the only singer performing in the festival.

The event will take place on May 15, at the Ocean Club, HCM City.

Miss Fashion 2011 goes to Dak Lak girl

Fashion designer Viet Hung and the Vice director of the Dak Lak Province Department

of Culture-Sports and Tourism present the award to the first runner-up.

Thuy Trang, 19, from the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak beat more than 600 contestants nationwide to win Miss Fashion 2011 in her home province last week.

The first-runner-up was Vu Thi Oanh from the central coastal city of Nha Trang while the Ede ethnic minority girl H' Nm Bya was the second-runner-up.

The organizing board also awarded the Best Figure for Ly Thuy Duyen from Dak Lak, Outstanding Style for Vo Thi Tra My also from Dak Lak, Best in Ao Dai for Tran Bao Vy from Tien Giang province, Best in Evening Gown for H'ng Nie, and Best in Business Suit for Lam Thi Thuy from Ben Tre province.

Miss Fashion 2011 was organized in Dak Lak province from March 16-19, attracting over 600 contestants throughout the country. The finale on March 19 was the competition among the top 16 contestants from Khanh Hoa, Hanoi, Ben Tre, Tien Giang and Dak Lak provinces.

The jury board included singer Hoai Nam, director of Lan Anh music club, fashion designer Viet Hung, actresses Kim Khanh and Ly Nha Ky, stylist Vo Thuong, the first runner-up of Miss Sea 2006 Thanh Thien.
